We had a GREAT trip in March to MacSkimming. It was awesome to see some teens breaking out of their "technology shell" and trying new outdoor skills. Some things the teens got to try out was GIS navigating, compass skills, fire building, shelter building, snowshoeing, cooking, and animal tracking! For some, this experience was something they had never done before! All the teachers agree that after the trip we noticed a great improvement in the teen's confidence, friendship, and behaviour.
Check out some of the pictures from fire building! Shout out to Ewan's dad, Gregor, for coming along and being a HUGE help. Also, thank you to all the parent volunteers who drove all of us!
